High Mass on Sunday, February 2, 2003
|
Sunday, February 2 (Feast of the
Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary/Candlemas) marks another
appearance at St. Peter's by Thomas Savoy and the New York Catholic
Chorale. Tom informs us that music will include: Ordinary of the Mass:
Missa Brevis—Antonio Lotti (1667-1740), Offertory Motet: Diffusa est
Gratias--Giovanni Maria Nanino (ca. 1545-1607), and Communion Motet: Ave
Maria—Franz Biebl (1906-2001)
